ECA opens a new market in Vélez Málaga

This Friday 25th October a new ecological and artisanal market opens in the Mercado de San Francisco building in Vélez Málaga , organised by the association Eco Axarquia in collaboration with the Vélez Málaga ayuntamiento.

The opening will be at 10 oclock with around 15 stalls of local organic products and artisan crafts, with fruits and vegetables, grains, seeds and flowers, honey, bread, olive oil, jams and marmalades as well as essential oils, soap and natural cosmetics in the organic section and a variety of handmade quality crafts such as mosaics, woodwork, restored furniture, jewelery, and other kinds of artwork.

The market will open on every last Friday of the month. New organic and artisan producers are welcome to apply for future markets.

Mercado de San Francisco is the old market building in the centre of Vélez Málaga which has been renovated and reformed into a food hall with small restaurants, a cafe and wine bar, the perfect atmosphere for taking a stroll through the organic market and treating yourself to a glass of wine or breakfast afterwards.
